Indication:
The shape of the nose is a central part of the face. In the event of a crooked position or deformation, this is often associated with a high level of suffering. Sometimes the disturbance of the outer shape is accompanied by an impairment of nasal breathing through the "inner" nose. Therefore, with every nose operation, it must be checked whether the internal structures of the nose also need to be corrected.
Surgery:
The surgery can straighten, reduce or enlarge the nose. The tip of the nose and nostrils can also be corrected. Opening the nose can be done with the help of a later barely visible incision between the nostrils.
The aim of the operation is primarily to change the nose harmoniously with the rest of the facial proportions. The personal facial expression should not be changed.
"A beautiful nose is like a well-formed building that gives the face a harmonious expression."
Jacques Joseph, German surgeon and pioneer of rhinoplasty.
