Hand surgery also includes treatment of specific conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition caused by pressure on the median nerve in the wrist. Typical symptoms include tingling, numbness and pain in the fingers. In many cases, surgery can provide relief and reduce the symptoms. Trigger finger is a narrowing of the tendon sheath that can lead to difficulty bending or straightening a finger. Here too, hand surgery can help to restore the mobility of the finger
Further information
Rhizarthrosis is a degenerative joint disease that affects the saddle joint of the thumb. This joint is located at the base of the thumb and plays an important role in the mobility and functionality of the hand. Rhizarthrosis involves a breakdown of the articular cartilage and inflammation in the area of the thumb saddle joint, which can lead to pain, stiffness, limited mobility and possibly even impairment of everyday activities. The disease often affects middle-aged to older people and can be triggered by factors such as overuse, injuries or genetics. Treatment options for rhizarthrosis range from conservative approaches such as pain management, physical therapy, and hand orthoses to more advanced treatments such as injections and, in some cases, surgery. Early diagnosis and individually tailored therapy are crucial to improving the quality of life of those affected and maintaining the functionality of their hands.

Change with reason and responsibility
Each treatment is individual. In a personal conversation, we will develop a treatment concept that is tailored to your needs, inform you about the effort, procedure, healing process and possible risks and clarify your questions. In common parlance, plastic surgery is often equated with aesthetic or cosmetic surgery. Aesthetic surgery, along with many other areas, is only one aspect of the overall spectrum of plastic surgery. In contrast to other medical subjects, which are often related to organs or systems, plastic surgery is characterized by special techniques and skills that are applied to a wide variety of body regions to solve very different problems.
